Ju-Jitsu Dojo of Columbia: self defense

Our students train rigorously in a friendly, safe, and supportive environment, under the supervision of senior black belt instructors. From your first day of training, you will learn defenses against a variety of armed and unarmed attacks, including:

grabs

chokes

knife attacks

gun stickups

attacks while on the ground

You will also learn anti-harassment and restraining techniques for less-threatening situations. As you advance, you will also practice defending against unscripted attacks by single and multiple assailants.

Because of its crucial importance, we address from the outset of training the moral, legal, and ethical ramifications of self defense.

Current and former students include local law enforcement officers and federal agents from various agencies.

We also offer self-defense seminars.
